Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha who known as many names like - Gajanand, Ganpati, Bappa, Vinayak...etc.  The date on which Lord Ganesha was born, is celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi all over the world.  Lord Ganesha was born on Bhadra, Chaturthi, Shukla, that is to say, Lord Ganesha was born on the Chaturthi date of Bhado month.  On this date, Ganesh Chaturthi festival is celebrated all over the world.  Colorful pandals are made from place to place and beautiful sculptures are installed in it.  Lord Ganesha is the youngest son of the Gods of God's ( Mahadev) and Mother Parvati.  Who are known by their 108 names.

 He (Lord Ganesha) is the god of art, science and knowledge.  They are also called the disruptors, that is, they are the Gods who overcome obstacles.  Hence his name is also Vinayaka.  His head is similar to elephant's head, hence his name is also Gajanan.  The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated for a full 10 days.  Which starts from Bhadra Paksha Chaturthi and lasts for the next 10 days.  Although the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great fanfare all over the world including India, but the special enthusiasm and enthusiasm of this festival is seen in Maharashtra and Mumbai, India.  Apart from this, this festival is celebrated in the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka etc.

Lord Ganesha loves Modak, that is, Laddus, so while worshiping him, he must offer laddus while worshiping. He has two wives, His wives names are Riddhi - SiddhiLord Ganesha is worshiped first in any occasion, event, festival or auspicious work.  This boon was given to him by Lord Shiva that Ganesha will be worshiped first in any work or else the program will not be successful and there will be no disturbance in it.  Whichever place or outpost you want to place a photo of Lord Ganesha, decorate it with red cloth.  Also offer red and yellow flowers to Lord Ganesha.  And to please Lord Ganesha, chant Om Ganadhipatyaya Namah Mantra.
