Narendra Damodar Das Modi was born on 17 September 1950 in Mehsana, Gujarat. His father was Damodardas Moolchand, who lived a large family by running a tea shop at Woodnagar railway station, his mother Heeraben is a housewife.

On 7 October 2001, he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Unfortunately on 27 February 2002 Godhra incident took place. For this reason, Modi resigned as Chief Minister on 19 July 2002. The Assembly was also dissolved. Election was announced. The BJP came into majority when elections were held. Modi again became the Chief Minister. In 2007, he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the third time. Became Chief Minister for the fourth time in 2012. On 21 May 2014, Modi resigned as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
