Siwan district of Bihar, where the first President of India was born Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Guru Dronacharya of Mahabharata and Thugs Natwar Lal and Shahabuddin.

 There is a temple of fame Baba Bholenath in Siswan block of Siwan district.  Which is famous as a holy pilgrimage place and the temple of Baba Mahendra Nath all over India.  Apart from this, there is a famous temple of Sohagara at Guthni, 30 Km away from the district headquarters.  Which is Baba Bholenath (Baba Hansnath) temple.  The grand palace of Hathua King is a famous tourist place in Hathua of Mirganj of Maharajganj, subdivision of the same district.  Apart from this, in the Gopalganj district adjacent to its border, there is a famous temple of Mother Durga in the sacred jaw.  Along with this, Jiradei, the birthplace of the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad is also there.  Where people come to see their house.

 History of Siwan District -

Siwan: It is believed that Dronacharya, the guru of Mahabharata, was the guru of Pandavas and Kauravas.  He was a resident of both villages of Darauli block of this district.  This village was named after Dronacharya.  The district was previously a division of Saran district.  It was part of the Banaras state in the 8th century.  People of the Muslim community came here in the 13th century.  In the 15th century, Alexander Lodhi took it under his control.  Babur crossed the Ghaghra river during his journey.  A huge war took place in 1776, which is known in history by the Battle of Buxar.  After this war it became a part of Bengal.  In 1972, it was made a separate district in the district division.  It was formerly known as Aliganj.

 It has contributed significantly in the fight for independence.  The total area of ​​this district is 2219 km square and according to the 2011 census the total population here is 3318176.  People here are educated.  But in the elections here, people believe in casteism and religionism and keep it at the center and vote.  Most of the people here migrate to Gulf countries for their employment.  Most of the money from foreign countries comes in Siwan district.
