Birth and family introduction of Indira Gandhi: -
Mrs. Indira Gandhi was the only daughter of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. He was born on 19 November 1917. When she was born, her grandmother was deeply disappointed. She wanted to see him as a boy. But his grandfather Pandit Motilal Nehru said that seeing this girl would be better than hundreds of sons. His statement later proved true. Indira was born in a prosperous environment. But the whole family was active in the independence movement. It was difficult for his parents to give him enough time.
Education of Indira Gandhi: -
She was initially cared for by Aya. Indira Gandhi's early education was also received at home. But he was given multi-dimensional education. His father was a great scholar. He gave him knowledge of Indian culture and civilization. He also informed him of various religious beliefs of the world. He created the shape of her personality. When Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was in jail, he used to write a letter daily to his daughter Indira. Each letter was filled with big ideals. Indira Gandhi's wedding: -
Indira married Feroze Gandhi. God blessed him with two sons, whose names were Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi. After the death of her mother Kamala Nehru, Indira stayed with her father for a long time. Her father was always busy with his public and governmental work as he became the first Prime Minister of independent India. The father took care of them. She traveled with him to India and abroad. Political life of Indira Gandhi: -
On 24 January 1966, she became the first woman Prime Minister of India. She was a woman of strong will. She did a lot for the progress of the country. Under his leadership, India emerged victorious in the 1971 war with Pakistan. Bangladesh was created. She was given the name of "Iron-woman". She was assassinated in New Delhi on 31 October 1984 by his bodyguards. But she will always be remembered for her great works.
